Where: Tony Purler’s Home Training Facility — 7710 SE Moore Dr., Holt MO 64048
(30 min N of Kansas City, 2 1/2 hrs South of Des Moines, IA)
Technical focus: Technical focus will be on the bottom position. Many kids lose several 1 point matches every season due to their inability to escape or reverse their opponents. I feel I am very good at changing a wrestlers approach to how they compete from the down position. The bottom position is more of an understanding of how to “hold position” than it is about ‘trying moves’. To me, this is where most kids approach to the bottom position goes wrong. If you watch college wrestling you will see that wrestlers are very good at holding position. They RARELY give up their wrist, and they rarely get broken down. With my having spent 14 years in division I wrestling rooms, I am certain I can make a huge impact on the kids who attend this camp. The kids who attend this camp should win MANY more one point matches this season! Even though this camp is primarily a competition camp with 6 hours of live, I’m certain that our technical focus from the bottom position will help your wrestler win more matches.
Fee: $190 (includes meals, room and board, and overnight stay for the athletes); does not include online payment fee
